The Cabin Still brand was introduced in 1903. From 1935 to 1972 it was produced by the Stitzel-Weller distillery. After the sale of Stitzel-Weller by the Van Winkle family, the production was shifted to a Canada Dry distillery in Nicholasville, KY and the quality went downhill. The brand was sold in 1993 to Luxco, who today has it distilled by Heaven Hill. See also the Stitzel-Weller timeline for more info.
