Kentucky Bourbon Distillers is the parent company that produces Willett bourbons, although the company has been trending towards using the Willett brand more. For many years they were a non-distilling producer only, and bottled under several different brand names for other companies as well as their own brands (Johnny Drum, Old Bardstown, Pure Kentucky, Noah’s Mill, Rowan’s Creek, Vintage Bourbon and Rye). They have been distilling as of 2012, and some of their own distillate is making its way into their brands now along with bulk-purchased whiskey. Unlike many other non-distilling producers, KBD has aging warehouses, so they have the capability to purchase bulk barreled whiskey and age it further. See also the Willett category.
